Daily Report

It’s another beautiful, mild morning here in Beach Haven! Winds are mild coming from the W at about 9mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 58°. The air temp is currently 54° and heading to 67°.

The bay is calm and 57°.

Low tide is at 7:21AM and 7:29PM. High tide is at 12:44 and 1:28PM.

There was a Spring Derby bluefish weigh-in yesterday from Barnegat Light on bunker. Also had many reports of oversized striped bass down here in Beach Haven – mostly on clams but a couple on bunker. “The Girls” from Indiana had 3 bass over 39″ yesterday morning. Jude Hand had a couple stripers – one oversized at 42″ and a keeper size, PJ Shapiro with another keeper at 33.5″, Danny Federico had a keeper and Pat Gallen had a 30″ that he released and he said “is now swimming toward Spain” : ) There are bluefish out there as well and an occasional fluke off the surf too. In the bay there are fluke and weakfish – Tony had a nice weakfish yesterday morning he estimated at about 6#. It’s a great time to get out there – just put in your time!
