It’s a gorgeous morning today in Beach Haven! Winds are mild coming from the W at about 9mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 55°. The air temp is currently 52° and heading to 63°.
The bay is calm and 56°.
Low tide is at 3:55AM ans 3:50PM. High tide is at 9:38AM and 9:54PM.
Had some fluke weigh-ins yesterday for the Jingles In-Store Tournament. Matt and Amanda came in with 3 fluke – Matt’s weighed 2.08# and was 18″ for the store tournament… but Amanda’s (who is not in the tournament) weighed 2.88# and was 19.5″. Then Rocco Saraullo came in and beat everyone with a 3.74# fluke that was 23″.
We had no Spring Derby weigh-ins yesterday but I still received reports and pictures of both striped bass and bluefish. It’s so nice up there today you should get up there and throw in a line!
