It’s another foggy, morning here in Beach Haven today, but that sun is trying to come through. Winds are mild, almost non existent, from the S at about 4mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 54°. The air temp is currently 55° and heading to 58°.
The bay is flat calm and 51°.
Low tide is at 11:49AM. High tide is at 5:15AM and 5:52PM.
No derby weigh-ins yesterday but I did have many reports of people catching bass – again – some short, some just right, some that didn’t make it in and some too big! Most seem to be on clams – surf clams and salted clams. Jamie had this nice big cow – an inch too big.
Today we have surf clams (in shell – and shucked)!
