It’s a sunny, but windy morning here in Beach Haven! Fiona’s winds have started coming from the SSW at about 19mph. Rain is going to follow behind this afternoon. Currently, the surf is relatively calm with 1-2 foot waves, but they are coming very frequently from the strong winds. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 74°. The air temp is currently 76° and will be about 69° by the end of the day. Overnight it will get to 54°!!
The bay is choppy and 72°.
Low tide is at 12:09AM and 12:08M. High tide is at 6:09AM and 6:19PM.
Reports continue of the birds working the beach and a bunch of cocktails blues. Kingfish and fluke continue off the beach too. In the bay there are weakfish, bluefish, plenty of blowfish and still some fluke. Back on Sunday we had a weigh-in that put Cheri Hebert in first place of our store tournament – 5.54lbs and 24″!
Today we have and fresh bunker and minnows.
