It’s a beautiful, warm, sunny September morning here in Beach Haven! The wind is coming from the SW at about 10mph. Currently, the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 73°. The air temp is currently 70° and heading to 79°.
The bay is calm and 71°.
Low tide is at 8:17AM and 9:40M. High tide is at 2:27AM and 2:41PM.
Reports continue of the birds working the beach and a bunch of action. Cocktails blues, kingfish and fluke continue off the beach. And Steve E. from Rhode Island caught this pompano off the beach yesterday! In the bay there are weakfish, bluefish, plenty of blowfish and still some fluke. Captain Steve was out at the Little Egg reef yesterday, where Max brought in a 22″ keeper fluke. And our store staffer Matt Colombo was out there and brought in this nice 4.2lb, 23″ keeper.
