Daily Report

It’s another hot steamy, sunny morning here in Beach Haven! Winds are mild coming from the SSW at about 8mph. Currently, the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 78°. The air temp is currently 75° and heading to 82°.

The bay is calm and 77°.

Low tide is at 4:28AM and 4:45. High tide is at and 10:29AM and 10:32PM.

Kingfish, fluke and bluefish continue in the surf. In the bay and the inlet you can pick up some keeper fluke and in the bay, plenty of blowfish. The inlet also has cocktail blues. Out at the reefs you can get some fluke like Hank Wright did – 3.98lbs and 21.5″! This puts Hank in 4th place for the store fluke tournament! The tournament goes through the end of fluke season so plenty of time to still catch that doormat! Ben also has some success in the ocean off the Miss Beach Haven. Ben came in and bought a 7′ Penn Fierce combo to take on his trip. His second day he came home with this nice keeper. Sea bass is open through tomorrow – (2) seabass per person.

We had a full kids clinics yesterday – congratulations to all the new LBI anglers!

Today we have fresh bunker, minnows and bloodworms.
