Daily Report

It’s a mostly cloudy, hazy morning here in Beach Haven today. Winds are mild coming from the W at about 8mph. The surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. The sea temp is 79°. The air temp is currently 77° and heading to 85°.

The bay is calm and 69°.

Low tide is at 2:37AM and 2:28PM. High tide is at 8:32AM and 8:37PM.

Quite a number of fluke reported yesterday! In the surf, store staffer Sal had this 19″, and 2.56# fluke caught with gulp, and Jamie Christie sent me this photo of his 24″ fluke caught off the surf on the outgoing tide using gulp. Out back, store staffer Matt caught 2 keeper fluke and Connor Smilon, of FishHawk Charters had two trips yesterday – The first, they caught a bucket full of blowfish and the second, they had 3 keeper fluke, (2) at 17″ and (1) at 18″.

Had kids clinic yesterday and we have 4 new anglers on the island! Next Kids Clinic is Monday, August 1st!

Today we have minnows and bloodworms.
