Daily Report

A sunny but cooler morning today in Beach Haven. Currently, the wind is strong blowing from the ENE at about 13mph. The surf is not as calm today with 2-3 foot waves because waves are coming in at a higher frequency due to the wind. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. The ocean temp is 58°. The temp is currently 58° and heading to 62°.

Low tide is at 11:05AM and 11:42PM. High tide is at 4:35AM and 5:14PM.

The bay is calm and 58°.

Four Derby weigh-ins yesterday!! Three striped bass and one bluefish. Two weigh-ins here at the store. First, Randy Bush had a bunch of success yesterday with 4 bass – 3 of them over 38″ but then he hooked his this nice 16.04lb, 34″ bass in Beach Haven. Then PJ Shapiro hit one again – This time a 19.9lb and 37.99″ beauty. This fish puts him in 3rd place in the Derby, but First place in our store tournament!! Terry also had a big bass – 37.75″. All bass were caught on clam. Aside from stripers and bluefish, anglers are starting to catch some kingfish in the surf. In the bay there are fluke and weakfish.

Today we have surf clam, fresh shucked clams, fresh bunker and bloodworms.
