It’s a calm, sort of sunny, but hazy morning here in Beach Haven today. Currently, the wind is mild from the SW at about 5mph. The surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. The ocean temp is 55°. The temp is currently 58° and heading to 64°.
The bay is flat calm and 56°.
Low tide is at 6:13AM and 6:18PM. High tide is at 10:39PM.
Stripers, stripers, stripers!! We had a derby weigh-in yesterday – Matt Shapiro is on the board again with a 14.42lb, 34.5″ bass caught in Holgate on surf clam. And Jaime Gramley had an epic day, catching 6 bass ranging from 42″ to 25″. He kept this 37″ which weighed in at 16.54lbs. Keith Smilon also caught a nice bass 30″. All bass reported yesterday were on clams!
Today we have surf clam and fresh shucked clam.
