Daily Report

It’s a beautiful sunny but COLD morning here in Beach Haven today. Currently, the wind is a little strong coming from the NW at about 14mph. The surf is flat calm this morning with 0-1 foot waves and an occasional 3 foot swell. You will need at about 3-4 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 40° and heading to 51°. The ocean temp is 63°.

The bay is choppy and 62°.

Low tide is 12:54AM and 1:25PM. High tide is at 7:02AM and 7:17PM.

Another striped bass weigh-in yesterday for the derby – Joshua Sisau caught a 9.30lb, 29.75″ caught in Barnegat Light on clams. Reports of schools of little bluefish out in the surf yesterday. I also see some more little striped bass being caught up north on needlefish. In the back there are still bass in the sod banks you can pick up with a top water plug.

Today we have bloodworms and green crabs.
