Daily Report

It’s a sunny, cool, but WINDY morning here in Beach Haven (small craft advisory). Currently, the wind is strong coming from the W at about 25-35mph. The surf is flat calm with 1 foot waves (West wind laying down the surf). The Doctor (Tony C.) says “when the wind is from the West, the fishing is best”. You will need at about 2-3 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 55° and heading to 63°. The ocean temp is 69.6°.

The bay is rough, very choppy and 66°.

Low tide is 12:05AM and 12:26PM. High tide is at 6:11AM and 6:28PM.

There were a bunch of kingfish weigh-ins yesterday for the Derby. There are kingfish aplenty in the surf. We have verified reports of sheepshead, black drum and snap blues.

The bay has been a tad quiet, but there should be stripers near the sod banks, weakfish in the holes and snap blues.
