Daily Report

It’s a beautiful but partly sunny morning here in Beach Haven! It’s cooled down some and a little breezy this morning with the wind coming from the NNE at about 14mph. The surf is a little choppy this morning with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 75° and heading to 77°. The ocean temp is 78°.

The bay has a mild chop and 76°.

Low tide is 7:34AM and 8:35PM. High tide is at 1:20AM and 2:01PM.

It’s a wrap for the 52nd Annual White Marlin Tournament and I would say it was a total success! With weigh-ins and the festival all being on Dock Road, it was a great time. With the top prize being for Kaarmaa for over $60K for Billfish points, the Big Dog/Jingles boat with Captain Craig and Steve took home a big check for $12K for the biggest yellowfin weighed in yesterday. You can see all the results at the website or the White Marlin Tournament app for mobile phones.

In other fishing news…. Joe Marcario brought in to keepers to weigh – both 21″, one at 3.62lbs and 3.48lbs. Both Jingles tournament fish caught on minnows and gulf. And Rosanna limited out at the Little Egg Reef with 18″ and 19″ fish using minnows. In the surf, there are lots of kingfish, also some fluke, bluefish, sharks and rays. In the bay, fluke, weakfish, bluefish and blowfish. Crabbing still good with some nice sized crabs.

Today we have fresh bunker, minnows and bloodworms.
