Daily Report

Today is the same as the past two days – a hazy, warm morning with the haze is burning off. The wind is slight coming out of the SSW at about 7mph. Currently, the surf is calm, with 2 to 3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4 ounces to hold. The temp is currently 70° and heading to 76°. The ocean temp is 66°.

The bay is flat calm and 70.5°.

Low tide is at 2:09AM and 1:56PM. High tide is at 8:02AM and 8:10PM.

We had a bluefish weigh-in last evening. Paul Lindsey with a 20″, 2.48lb bluefish – puts him in first in the bluefish category for the store tournament! Anglers are also still catching stripers and kingfish in the surf. Lenny brought his kingfish in to get his photo in front of Jingles! Who’s next?? Fluke and weakfish are in the bay. Out at the reefs, the sea bass bite is good.

Off shore the anglers in the 1st Annual Beach Haven Tuna Open are doing well. Looks like 9 boats have brought back bluefin tuna so far. The tournament continues through Saturday with boats allowed to fish one day only. Check it out at www.tunaopen.com because there are plenty more boats heading out in the next couple of days!

Today we have fresh bunker, surf clams, and minnows.
