Anglers continue to catch striper – small, slot, and many personal bests this spring! Over the weekend we had a couple weigh-ins – Andrew Federico caught a 9.6# and 30″ bass on clams and Steve Dorwart caught a 9.0# and 30″ striper…. both on clams. If you haven’t figured it out – you should be using clams – Fresh, salted, it doesn’t matter… they both work. We also had a couple personal bests: Rich Sherman – 41″ and Whitey Roth – 43″. Eileen Roth caught her first ever striped bass and Chris and his family had more success. Derek had a few beauty bass – one for dinner and Gabe and his friends caught 10 bass and bluefish this weekend – 7 of those stripers on an SP Minnow. And lastly and of course not least, Ship Bottom Rob was on the stripers again – also using clam.
