It’s a partly sunny, cool and windy November morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind this morning is coming from the W at about 17mph. Currently the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 50.2°. The air temp is currently 43° (but feels like 41°) and heading to 46°.
The bay is choppy and 45.0°.
Low tide is at 11:49AM and 11:54PM. High tide is at 5:32AM and 5:48PM.
No LBI Classic weigh-ins over this weekend which was surprising but I did have a report of a striped bass caught in Holgate. But I do believe they are still a bit north. I know there are tons of striped bass out there caught by boat still a bit north of the island as reported by the Jingles team that was fishing on The Starfish this weekend for the Marlin & Tuna Club’s LBI Cup. Steve and his team caught 20 striped bass coming in with 2 keepers!! For tog anglers, the limit is now 5 per person as of yesterday and they are still catching tog up at the lighthouse.
