DAILY REPORT

It’s a beautiful, sunny, cool November morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind this morning is coming from the WNW at about 12mph. Currently the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 52.7°. The air temp is currently 39° and heading to 52°.

The bay is choppy and 45.3°.

Low tide is at 9:26AM and 9:55PM. High tide is at 3:05AM and 3:19PM.

Stripers are here and there…. mostly too big, with a periodic slot weigh-in every. And yesterday is was Emmett Fitzgerald’s day! Emmett weighed in this fatty last evening caught in Harvey Cedars – 13.08# and 30″! He was using an artificial soft bait. We had some other striper reports earlier in the week – Pat Gallen caught this 34″ beauty (wearing his lucky Jingles Hoodie!) and another customer had a 44″ – both safely released to swim another day. By boat, we are seeing some big cows also, but they are still catching those still north of the island. Anglers are still catching Tog up at the lighthouse where is is still 1 per person until Sunday when it becomes 5 per person!

It’s not too late to register for the 1st LBI Annual Surf Fishing Classic with 2 weeks to go!! There is still plenty of daily prizes to win. You can enter right up until the last day at any one of the Islands bait shops – here at Jingles Bait & Tackle, Fisherman’s Headquarters or Surf City Bait & Tackle.
