The wind this morning is mild coming from the SW at about 7mph. Currently the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 70°. We had a striped bass weigh-in yesterday! Pat Gallen thought he had a bluefish and reeled in this beauty striped bass while fishing in Ship Bottom – 10.54# and just under 31″. Pat was using mullet. So are they here? Temperatures are going to be more fall-like after today and the water will start to cool down so get out there and try for those stripers… As for other fishing.. Derek was crushing the cocktail blues off the surf yesterday using mullet and there are plenty of tog up at the lighthouse – its just getting the keepers that takes a little time. In the ocean, The Starfish hit their limit with sea bass this weekend… so get out there!
