We had a handful of LBI Classic weigh-ins over the last couple of days! Patrick Phillips kicked it off with a fluke weigh-in on Friday – 3.5# and 21″ caught in Holgate on gulp. Then on Friday afternoon, we had back-to-back kingfish weigh-ins…. First John Sullivan, with Brant Beach Rod & Reel, with a .92#, 13 7/8″ caught on bloodworms and then right after, Randy Bush came in with a .96#, 14 1/4″ kingfish using bloodworms and fishbites. And lastly, Lisa Conti put another one on the board with a fluke yesterday at 2.3# and 18 5/8″ using peanut bunker. Although the surf is a little rough, anglers are catching fish – bluefish, kingfish and fluke!
