It’s another beautiful, warm, sunny September morning here in Beach Haven! The wind is practically non-existent this morning coming from the SW at about 3mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 72.7°. The air temp is currently 68° and heading to 77°.
The bay is calm and 71.1°.
Low tide is at 7:34AM and 8:51PM. High tide is at 1:36AM and 2:02PM.
The 71st LBI Surf Classic has had the variety of weigh-ins – fluke, bluefish, kingfish, tog and striped bass! Here we had Lisa Conti with a couple more weigh-ins this week. She had a fluke weigh-in at 2.22# and 118.5″ and a bluefish at 3.12# and 19″. Way to go Lisa! As for other fishing – the bay has snap blues and the reefs have been producing lots a fluke with a some keepers in the mix.
