We have had a few kingfish weigh-ins here over the last couple of days for the 71st LBI Surf Classic! Joe Handley signed up for the Classic on Wednesday morning and was back with a kingfish weigh-in a little later that day – .78# and 12.75″. And yesterday we had Whitey and Eileen Roth both come in with his and hers kingfish. Whitey’s was .78# and 13 1/8″ and Eileen’s was .9# and 13.5″. Eileen used mullet and Whitey was bloodworm. Pat Gallen was on the surf yesterday too and racked up a kingfish, a spot, a short fluke and a small blue. So get out there on these beautiful days and fish!
