It’s Hump Day and it’s another HOT, humid, sunny morning here in Beach Haven! The wind this morning is mild coming from the W at about 5mph. (Come purchase your Captain Ron’s Insect Repellent!!) Currently the surf is calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 73.6°. The air temp is currently 80° and heading to 89°.
The bay is calm and 77.2°.
Low tide is at 6:22AM and 6:48PM. High tide is at 12:12AM and 12:52PM.
Fluke fishing continues to be good – with anglers getting fluke in the inlet and out at the reefs. Also in the inlet we have see a couple black drum! Here Jamie Christie caught this black drum on mullet and a mullet rig weighing 15.86# and 29″. The starfish also had a big black drum from the inlet. Anglers are still catching fluke off the surf and kingfish are sporadic. The Miss Beach Haven has been running morning and afternoon and getting keepers out at the reef and in the inlet (and a whole bunch of shorts). And don’t forget the evening dusk trips (Happy Hour trip??). Book your dusk trip for this Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. What a great way to end the day with a beautiful view and some fishing!
So far this week we added three new Janglers to the island – Congrats to the class of Monday, July 28th!
Today we have MINNOWS and BLOODWORMS! Don’t forget your bait bucket – If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! Send us your fishing reports to Instagram, FaceBook or jinglesbait@comcast.net.
