DAILY REPORT

It’s a beautiful sunny BUT cool day here Beach Haven. Right now the wind is coming from the NNW at about 10mph. This morning, the surf is relatively calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 59.8°. The air temp is currently 54° and heading to 62°.

The bay is choppy and 55.6°.

Low tide is at 8:22AM and 8:44PM. High tide is at 1:42AM and 2:27PM.

Striped bass and bluefish are still being caught on the beach. But you have to work through a whole lot of dogfish to get them! David Carlin caught this non-tournament blue the other day using bunker – 9.76 and 33.5″. And Bill and David caught a few bluefish this weekend too. Anglers have also been picking out quite a few keeper fluke from the surf as well. The Spring Derby still has another month to go with a total of 30 weighs so far so lets keep ’em coming! In the bay anlgers are catching some keeper fluke and a weakfish here and there.

The Jingles In-store Spring tournaments are up and running – One for striped bass and bluefish which coincides with the Spring Derby. The second is our season long fluke tournament – prizes to fifth place! Just stop in to shop to register – Both tournaments are $10 to enter!
