DAILY REPORT (6/3/2026) by Jingles

Today is another beautiful sunny June morning here in Beach Haven! The wind right now is mild coming from the NNW at about 2mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 59°. The air temp is currently 60° and heading to 83°!

The bay is calm and 61.9°.

Low tide is at 4:39AM and 4:30PM. High tide is at 10:36AM and 10:35PM.

Yesterday was Black Drum day! Rich Sherman weighed in this Black Drum at 30.15# and 37″ caught using clams. Matt & PJ Shapiro each got a black drum yesterday too. Beside the black drum, stripers are still out there too. Clam or bunker – get on it before they move on!

DAILY REPORT (6/1/2026) by Jingles

Happy June! Today is a mostly sunny, beautiful June morning here in Beach Haven – And it’s going to shape into a beautiful day! The wind right now is almost non-existent coming from the NNW at about 1mph. Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves coming in frequently. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 59°. The air temp is currently 59° and heading to 70°.

The bay is flat calm and 60.3°.

Low tide is at 3:22AM and 3:14PM. High tide is at 9:14AM and 9:21PM.

Striped Bass continue and to show up on the surf we had a nice striped bass weigh-in yesterday! Keith Soycher caught this beauty in Holgate using clams – 11.05# and 30.5″. This striper put Keith in 2nd place for the time being in the Spring Derby – which means anyone is still in it! From over the weekend we had some other photos to share – Shawn Gallen had another bass just over 27″, Mark Roczey has been doing well on the surf with clams catching this black drum yesterday morning and John Brillo caught his striper in Beach Haven. Catches off the surf have not seem to slow down so join that Spring Derby!

DAILY REPORT (5/28/2026) by Jingles

Today is a mostly cloudy but warmer morning here in Beach Haven. The wind right now is coming from the NNW at about 7mph. Currently the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves (when they come). You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 58°. The air temp is currently 68° and heading to 72°.

The bay is calm and 59.7°.

Low tide is at 12:30AM and 12:31PM. High tide is at 6:26AM and 6:50PM.

Striped Bass, bluefish and black drum are still being caught off the surf this week! We haven’t had a recent weigh-in here in Beach Haven but I was sent pictures…Richie and Jamie came and bought the last of my surf clams and started catching right away with Richie and this Black Drum and Jamie with this striper – they had 16 catches total. Richie also caught this 44″ striper! Glenn had a nice striped bass over the weekend and Murray sent in the black drum pic. Also saw that Gary caught a big blue weighed in for the Spring Derby – 11.78#!

Well, Memorial Day Weekend is now past us and the sun decided to come out at the very end. But today is a beautiful morning! The wind right now is mild coming from the NNE at about 6mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 57°. The air temp is currently 65° and heading to 68°.

The bay is flat calm and 56.7°.

Low tide is at 11:08AM and 11:44PM. High tide is at 4:41AM and 5:19PM.

We had our first bluefish weigh-in here at the shop yesterday – Pat Gallen weighed in a 5.05# and 24.5″ bluefish he caught in Ship Bottom on bunker. This is the first bluefish weigh-in for the shop! While there were not as many fisherman over the weekend we had hoped they are still catching striped bass and now bluefish too. Steve Gross caught this 28″ bass on clams (his 25th of the spring run!) and PJ Shapiro caught his personal best striper at 44″ – Way to go PJ! AND because we didn’t have any many fisherman as we hoped this weekend, we still have a few Memorial Day Weekend shirts left! Well, Memorial Day Weekend is upon us and Mother Nature did not want to cooperate. Today is starting out as an overcast morning with a few rain drops so far. The wind right now is coming from the ENE at about 12mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves (it’s low tide). You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 58°. The air temp is currently 57° and heading to 58°.

The bay is calm and 57.9°.

Low tide is at 7:31AM and 7:43PM. High tide is at 12:58AM and 1:44PM.

Still no recent weigh-ins for the Spring Derby but we did have a non-tournament weigh-in here at the shop. Bill Jerome weighed in a 7.25# and 28 5/8″ that he was taking home to have a nice dinner! But I also received pictures yesterday of anglers who caught stripers throughout the day: Jonathan Kelly with a 29″ (20 minutes after he walked out the door with his bait), Nina with a 25″ caught with her bonus tag, and coach with his catch he sent back to swim another day.

It’s another beautiful sunny, MAY morning here in Beach Haven today – and you best get out and enjoy it because the temperature is going to drop drastically tomorrow! The wind right now is coming from the SW at about 8mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 56°. The air temp is currently 67° and heading to 75°!

The bay is calm and 64.8°.

Low tide is at 5:36AM and 5:37PM. High tide is at 11:43AM and 11:57PM.

There haven’t been any weigh-ins over the last couple of days but that doesn’t mean the stripers are gone! I did received some pictures yesterday – Roman caught this keeper using salted clam he bought in the morning – 8.1# and 29″ here in Beach Haven. And Pat Gallen caught a 32″ along with with Ralph with a 28.5″ and Ralph’s son with a 39″. They were caught mid island using clam and bunker. The Derby also had its first bluefish weigh in up in Ship Bottom caught by Ted Grob on bunker. The day is beautiful so today is the day to fish and enjoy the warmth. Over the holiday weekend you will be fishing in cold weather gear!

It’s a GORGEOUS, sunny, MAY morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind right now is barely blowing coming from the S at about 3mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 56°. The air temp is currently 67° and heading to 75°!

The bay is flat calm and 62.1°.

Low tide is at 3:53AM and 3:50PM. High tide is at 9:43AM and 9:58PM.

Anglers continue to catch striper – small, slot, and many personal bests this spring! Over the weekend we had a couple weigh-ins – Andrew Federico caught a 9.6# and 30″ bass on clams and Steve Dorwart caught a 9.0# and 30″ striper…. both on clams. If you haven’t figured it out – you should be using clams – Fresh, salted, it doesn’t matter… they both work. We also had a couple personal bests: Rich Sherman – 41″ and Whitey Roth – 43″. Eileen Roth caught her first ever striped bass and Chris and his family had more success. Derek had a few beauty bass – one for dinner and Gabe and his friends caught 10 bass and bluefish this weekend – 7 of those stripers on an SP Minnow. And lastly and of course not least, Ship Bottom Rob was on the stripers again – also using clam.
