It’s a overcast cool morning here in Beach Haven today! Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves coming in with frequency. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 66.7°. The air temp is currently 60° and heading to 61°.

The bay is calm and 62.1°.

Low tide is at 4:31AM and 5:21PM. High tide is at 10:43AM and 11:19PM.

The surf still has kingfish and bluefish and there have been a random striper here and there but the water is starting to cool down. And if you are going to fish get out there today and tomorrow before this storm comes in on Sunday! The LBI Classic still has kingfish, bluefish and tog weigh-ins coming in almost daily. It’s a beautiful, sunny, warm morning in Beach Haven today! Take advantage of it because showers are coming in tonight and the temperature is going to drop! The wind this morning is mild coming from the SW at about 7mph. Currently the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 70°. The air temp is currently 68° and heading to 75°.

The bay is calm and 67.8°.

Low tide is at 2:13AM and 2:48PM. High tide is at 8:16AM and 8:40PM.

We had a striped bass weigh-in yesterday! Pat Gallen thought he had a bluefish and reeled in this beauty striped bass while fishing in Ship Bottom – 10.54# and just under 31″. Pat was using mullet. So are they here? Temperatures are going to be more fall-like after today and the water will start to cool down so get out there and try for those stripers… As for other fishing.. Derek was crushing the cocktail blues off the surf yesterday using mullet and there are plenty of tog up at the lighthouse – its just getting the keepers that takes a little time. In the ocean, The Starfish hit their limit with sea bass this weekend… so get out there!

It’s a beautiful, sunny, but cooler morning in Beach Haven today – hello October! But it is going to warm up again this weekend. The wind this morning is strong coming from the NE at about 14mph. Winds should also settle down starting this evening. Currently the surf is relatively rough with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 6-8oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 68.7°. The air temp is currently 62° and heading to 66°.

The bay is calm and 66°.

Low tide is at 10:28AM and 11:15PM. High tide is at 4:10AM and 4:29PM.

Had a kingfish weigh-in on Tuesday – Brandy Hillegass brought in this nice big 14.5″ kingfish weighing 1.12#! Caught in Holgate using mullet. We are still waiting on the striped bass to get here but there are still kingfish and bluefish. And you can get tog up at the lighthouse and try for some striped bass there too. Sea Bass is open so as the water calms down this weekend it will be a great time to get out to the reefs.

It’s a mild, overcast morning in Beach Haven today and it’s the last day in September! The wind this morning is coming from the NNE at about 9mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm but with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 72°. The air temp is currently 70° and heading to 72°.

The bay is calm and 70.3°.

Low tide is at 7:59AM and 9:26PM. High tide is at 2:13AM and 2:30PM.

We are in that late September lull where there is not much to fish for, but the surf does still have bluefish and kingfish. We did have a bluefish LBI Surf Classic weigh-in yesterday though with Shawn Gallen bringing in this 3.22# and 22 1/8″ bluefish caught on spot! Other than that, over the weekend, Nathaniel had a nice bluefish while in town for a day and Missy caught this pompano. Not many striped bass yet, you can try up at the lighthouse or out back by the sod banks, however the water is still a little warm. BUT – Sea Bass opens tomorrow so and the reefs should be full of them!

DAILY REPORT (9/25/2025) by Jingles

It’s a warm, humid, damp morning here in Beach Haven today – and sadly its the last day of fluke season. It rained pretty good early this morning but now the rain has stopped but there is a chance of showers all morning. The wind this morning is coming from the S at about 9mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 71.6°. The air temp is currently 73° and heading to 74°.

The bay is calm and 70.9°.

Low tide is at 4:25AM and 4:57PM. High tide is at 10:36AM and 10:52PM.

We had another handful of LBI Classic weigh-ins this week! On Monday, Emmett Fitzgerald has another striped bass caught up at Barnegat Light on a lure – 10.6# and 29 1/8″. That same afternoon, Johns Sullivan of Brant Beach Rod & Reel brought in another kingfish weighing .78# on bloodworms. Tom Beatty had a two weigh-ins on Tuesday: He started the morning with a fluke 2.76# and 18 3/4″ using mullet, and then later in the day came back with a bluefish at 2.98# and 20.5″ also on mullet! And lastly (but certainly not least) to report weigh-ins here at Jingles was Pat Gallen who had a fluke weigh-in – 2.78# and 19.5″ caught using a jig.

As I said fluke season ends today but you can keep fishing for kingfish and bluefish which are still out there – and the striped bass will be here soon enough! It’s never too late to sign up for the 71st Annual LBI Classic!

It’s a mostly cloudy, cooler morning here in Beach Haven today. The wind this morning is coming from the E at about 12mph. Currently the surf is rough with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 6-8oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 70.3°. The air temp is currently 66° and heading to 68°.

The bay is calm and 68.2°.

Low tide is at 2:06AM and 2:20PM. High tide is at 8:09AM and 8:22PM.

We had a handful of LBI Classic weigh-ins over the last couple of days! Patrick Phillips kicked it off with a fluke weigh-in on Friday – 3.5# and 21″ caught in Holgate on gulp. Then on Friday afternoon, we had back-to-back kingfish weigh-ins…. First John Sullivan, with Brant Beach Rod & Reel, with a .92#, 13 7/8″ caught on bloodworms and then right after, Randy Bush came in with a .96#, 14 1/4″ kingfish using bloodworms and fishbites. And lastly, Lisa Conti put another one on the board with a fluke yesterday at 2.3# and 18 5/8″ using peanut bunker. Although the surf is a little rough, anglers are catching fish – bluefish, kingfish and fluke!

The LAST day for Fluke is Thursday – So….. The Miss Beach Haven is running a Fluke Mania trip for the LAST day of fluke fishing, next Thursday, Sept. 25th. They will have prizes, food, drinks and plenty of fun! Book online at www.missbeachhaven.com.

It’s an amazing, warm, sunny September morning here in Beach Haven – It’s going to be a beautiful day!! The wind is mild this morning coming from the WNW at about 6mph. Currently the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 71.2°. The air temp is currently 67° and heading to 80°.

The bay is calm and 68.7°.

Low tide is at 12:42AM and 12:49PM. High tide is at 6:45AM and 7:01PM.

The surf still has bluefish, kingfish and fluke. And we are starting to see a random striper here and there. The 71st LBI Surf Classic has had the variety of weigh-ins, and here at the store we had Emmett Fitzgerald with a striped bass caught up at Barnegat Light using a lure. Emmett’s striper was 8.64# and 29.5″. And earlier in the week Pat Conti had a kingfish for the derby. As for fishing not on the surf – Drew reported some blowfish out back and Liz Copeland caught a nice 19″ fluke in the inlet yesterday using minnows. There is ONE more week for fluke fishing so let’s get out on the beautiful weekend so we can see more fluke weigh-ins!
