DAILY REPORT

Well, Memorial Day Weekend is now past us and the sun decided to come out at the very end. But today is a beautiful morning! The wind right now is mild coming from the NNE at about 6mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 57°. The air temp is currently 65° and heading to 68°.

The bay is flat calm and 56.7°.

Low tide is at 11:08AM and 11:44PM. High tide is at 4:41AM and 5:19PM.

We had our first bluefish weigh-in here at the shop yesterday – Pat Gallen weighed in a 5.05# and 24.5″ bluefish he caught in Ship Bottom on bunker. This is the first bluefish weigh-in for the shop! While there were not as many fisherman over the weekend we had hoped they are still catching striped bass and now bluefish too. Steve Gross caught this 28″ bass on clams (his 25th of the spring run!) and PJ Shapiro caught his personal best striper at 44″ – Way to go PJ! AND because we didn’t have any many fisherman as we hoped this weekend, we still have a few Memorial Day Weekend shirts left! So come in and spend a $50 single purchase (especially on the 50th year swag) and get the MDW shirt for FREE!

We are under a month left for the Spring Derby and you can still register at one of the three tackle shops – Jingles, Fisherman’s HQ, and Surf City Bait & Tackle or now available ONLINE at www.lbisfc.com! The tournament is 100% payout for striped bass and bluefish weigh-ins. Those fish are still out there – get in the game!

TODAY WE HAVE MINNOWS, SURF CLAMS, and BLOODWORMS!

Don’t forget your bait bucket – If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! AND Send us your pictures and fishing reports to Instagram, FaceBook or jinglesbait@comcast.net.
