We always want to measure a striped bass correctly to abide by New Jersey State Salt Water Regulations. A keeper striped bass measures between 28″ and 31″. To measure a striped bass:
1 – Lay it flat on the measuring device.
2 – With the stripers mouth CLOSED, you PINCH the tail and measure to the longest part of the tail.
