It’s another beautiful sunny, MAY morning here in Beach Haven today – and you best get out and enjoy it because the temperature is going to drop drastically tomorrow! The wind right now is coming from the SW at about 8mph. Currently the surf is relatively calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 56°. The air temp is currently 67° and heading to 75°!
The bay is calm and 64.8°.
Low tide is at 5:36AM and 5:37PM. High tide is at 11:43AM and 11:57PM.
There haven’t been any weigh-ins over the last couple of days but that doesn’t mean the stripers are gone! I did received some pictures yesterday – Roman caught this keeper using salted clam he bought in the morning – 8.1# and 29″ here in Beach Haven. And Pat Gallen caught a 32″ along with with Ralph with a 28.5″ and Ralph’s son with a 39″. They were caught mid island using clam and bunker. The Derby also had its first bluefish weigh in up in Ship Bottom caught by Ted Grob on bunker. The day is beautiful so today is the day to fish and enjoy the warmth. Over the holiday weekend you will be fishing in cold weather gear!
