Well, we are back to the cloudy, windy and (soon) rainy weather here in Beach Haven today. The wind this morning is strong coming from the ENE at about 20mph. Currently the surf is rough with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 6-8oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 59.2°. The air temp is currently 55° and heading to 54°.
The bay is a little choppy and 56.1°.
Low tide is at 6:12AM and 7:35PM. High tide is at 12:47AM and 12:54PM.
So we had a nice little window of nice weather but still not much off the surf. Pat Gallen was able to pull in a 34″ striped bass on bait on Sunday but that and a few dogfish is all we are seeing in the surf right now. Up at the lighthouse, anglers continue to catch tautog on green crabs and sand fleas. And there is a striped bass caught up there here and there on plugs, lures and this morning on squid.
