It’s a sunny, cool morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind this morning is mild coming from the WSW at about 7mph. Currently the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 62.2°. The air temp is currently 55° and heading to 65°.
The bay is calm and 57.6°.
Low tide is at 2:07AM and 2:37PM. High tide is at 8:16AM and 8:31PM.
Well, it’s been a while since I have done a report – first the storm and the flooding and then the winds and beach erosion, and then just that there has not been a whole lot happening yet! The only weigh-ins since the storm have been tog weigh-ins from up at the lighthouse where tog fishing has been very good. Jared send this picture of his 16″ tog caught Sunday. And then yesterday Chris Masino snagged a beautiful striped bass – also caught up at the lighthouse, on a lure. My reports from the beach is that there is not much bait action and mostly just a few dogfish. The water is cooling down and we are seeing striped bass north of us, so hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer.
