It’s a beautiful, sunny, but cooler morning in Beach Haven today – hello October! But it is going to warm up again this weekend. The wind this morning is strong coming from the NE at about 14mph. Winds should also settle down starting this evening. Currently the surf is relatively rough with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 6-8oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 68.7°. The air temp is currently 62° and heading to 66°.
The bay is calm and 66°.
Low tide is at 10:28AM and 11:15PM. High tide is at 4:10AM and 4:29PM.
Had a kingfish weigh-in on Tuesday – Brandy Hillegass brought in this nice big 14.5″ kingfish weighing 1.12#! Caught in Holgate using mullet. We are still waiting on the striped bass to get here but there are still kingfish and bluefish. And you can get tog up at the lighthouse and try for some striped bass there too. Sea Bass is open so as the water calms down this weekend it will be a great time to get out to the reefs.
