DAILY REPORT

Happy Labor Day! Hard to believe it is September… another summer gone so fast! It’s a mostly cloudy, but beautiful morning here in Beach Haven – It’s going to be a great day! The wind is coming from the NE at about 10mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 72.3°. The air temp is currently 63° and heading to 71°.

The bay is calm and 69.4°.

Low tide is at 8:49AM and 10:06PM. High tide is at 2:45AM and 3:11PM.

All sorts of species of fish caught over the weekend! First, Brendan Osler had his personal best fluke (weighed in for the store fluke tournament) coming in at 6.98# and 25.25″. This puts him currently in 3rd place. He also had another worth weighing at 4.2#. He and a buddy were out at Little Egg and came back with 5 keepers! Reef fishing was hot this weekend with many reports of keeper fluke. On the surf there have been reports of striped bass, bluefish and kingfish. Chris caught this big bluefish yesterday using mullet. Luke and James caught their first bluefish with their dad, and I got a message this morning that Santino caught his first dogfish in Spray Beach after reading my report. 🙂
