DAILY REPORT

It’s a misty, overcast, windy August morning here in Beach Haven! The wind this morning is strong coming from the NE at about 21mph. Currently the surf is rough with 3-4 foot waves coming in quite frequently. You will need about 6-8oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 77.9°. The air temp is currently 69° and heading to 75°.

The bay is relatively calm and 77.4°.

Low tide is at 10:09AM and 11:17PM. High tide is at 3:51AM and 4:23PM.

We had some really nice fluke weigh-ins over the weekend for the in-store tournament. On Saturday Jeff Rummel and Gary Rowles were out at Little Egg and caught some biggins – Jeff’s – 6.68# and 25.25″, Gary’s 4.44# and 23.25″. Then yesterday Connor Johnson secured First Place (for the time being) with this 7.92# and 27.5″ doormat! He also caught a 5.84# and 24″ fluke as well as a 2.9# sea bass. Fluke, kingfish, bluefish and an occasional pompano are being caught off the surf. Unfortunately, we will be feeling the effects of Hurricane Erin over this week which is going to put a damper on this great fishing out at the reefs. The bay still has some fluke and a ton little fish you can catch around the bulkheads with the kids.

Today we have MINNOWS and BLOODWORMS! Don’t forget your bait bucket – If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! Send us your fishing reports to Instagram, FaceBook or jinglesbait@comcast.net.
