DAILY REPORT

THE SUN AGAIN!! It looks like a great day but some storms are coming through this evening but then we are going to have some fantastic weather for the next week! This morning the wind is coming from the SW at about 7mph. Currently the surf is calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 64.5°. The air temp is currently 77° and heading to 82°!

The bay is flat calm and 68.4°.

Low tide is at 8:45AM and 9:35PM. High tide is at 2:17AM and 2:57PM.

Anglers still fishing for striped bass and bluefish but fluke seems to be the prominent fish these last couples of days. JT and Paul were crushing it with the fluke off the surf getting a keeper at 2.2# and 18.25″ and then coming back later in the day with another keeper – 2.76# and 19.5″. There are also fluke out back in Great Bay as well as a right here behind Beach Haven – squid, minnows and gulp – they are all working.

Today is Day 4 of fishing for the Beach Haven Marlin & Tuna Club’s TUNA OPEN! Yesterday, 26 boats went out and a bunch of tuna weighed including a big eye caught by A Salt Weapon at 154.9#! Check the website www.tunaopen.com daily to see which boats went out for the day and all weigh-ins. Weigh-ins are open to the public from 5-9PM all week!
