THE STRIPER BITE CONTINUES!! It’s a beautiful sunny Mother’s Day morning here in Beach Haven!! The wind right now is mild coming from the WSW at about 1mph. Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 5-6oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 54°. The air temp is currently 55° and heading to 72°!
The bay is calm and 55.9°.
Low tide is at 9:03AM and 9:26PM. High tide is at 2:19AM and 3:03PM.
Striped bass catches continue! Weigh-ins and picture keep coming in….. Three weigh-ins over the past two days. Friday eve, Bill Bond had an 8.95#, 30″ striper caught in BH Terrace on salted clam. Then yesterday, Danny Federico caught an 8.3#, 29″ striper caught in Holgate on clams and at the end of the day, Rich Sherman brought in a striper weighing 9.05# and 30.5″ on fresh clams and also a black drum both caught in Spray Beach. Matt Daws with a striped bass for the store tournament – 8.75# and 30 3/4″ and PJ and his budy Aiden caught a couple too!
Fluke season is open so come in and sign up for the Jingles In-Store Fluke tournament running the entire season.
