The American Angler tournament is taking place in Long Beach Township today – and as you can see by my picture, plenty of them are fishing right up the street! And the good news is they have already had 20 fish caught in less than an hour! Here at Jingles yesterday we had three weigh-ins all for the LBI Spring Derby. Dave Jewett started the day with a 8.10#, 28.25″ bass, then shortly afterword, Bill Bond with the Village Harbour Fishing Club came in with a 8.65# and 30″ and Danny Federico had a 8.25# and 30 7/8. And Pat Gallen, always putting his time in caught a few bass… couldn’t get the slot though :(. All of these were caught on clams. The fishing is HOT – don’t wait!
