It’s a beautiful, sunny, perfect August morning here in Beach Haven!! The wind this morning is almost non-existent coming from the NNW at about 1mph. Currently the surf is moderately calm with 3-4 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is 74.8°. The air temp is currently 73° and heading to 78°.
The bay is calm and 73°.
Low tide is at 3:20AM and 3:26PM. High tide is at 9:11AM and 9:24PM.
Finally had a fluke weigh-in yesterday! Mike Lapotasky caught this nice fluke off the surf – 3.4# and 21″. He was using a pink shine gulp and the best part…. It was on a Jingles Fluke Rig! Along with the surf, there are still some fluke out back but they are also being caught in the inlet and out at the reefs. The surf has cocktail blues – use mullet or a shiny lure. Tons of little fish at the bottom of the bulkheads so take the kids, drop straight down and bounce off the bottom and catch em up!
