It’s another beautiful, sunny morning here in Beach Haven! Winds are coming from the SSW at about 8mph. The surf is currently moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is reported at 64°. The air temp is currently 75° and heading to 84°.
The bay is calm and is 68°.
Low tide is at 9:20AM and 10:24PM. High tide is at 2:57AM and 3:38PM.
We had some fluke weigh-ins over the weekend! First Dan Sweeney had this beauty on Friday weighing in at 3.74#. He was in the bay using a bucktail with gulp. Then our very own David Schlindwein caught this 24″ flattie out at Garden State South – weighing 5.62#! Heard quite a few nice sized keeper fluke being pulled out of the bay right behind Beach Haven. On the surf, good reports of kingfish. There are also some fluke, some bluefish, and of course dogfish and rays.
