It’s a beautiful sunny, a little cooler, morning here in Beach Haven! Winds have finally settled down this morning coming from the N at about 6mph. The surf is currently calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is reported at 73°, but Atlantic City buoy temp is reported at 63°. The air temp is currently 68° and heading to 75°.
The bay is moderate and is 65°.
Low tide is at 11:29AM. High tide is at 5:16AM and 5:47PM.
Fluking picked back up on the surf yesterday – had a couple reports… Kasey caught this 21″ fluke in Beach Haven, and Kellen… a 2023 Kids Clinic graduate, using his lucky rod that he got last year at the clinic, caught his first keeper fluke at 18″ – His first day of fishing!! Also on the surf we are starting to see more kingfish. In the bay, fluke has been a little slow with the cold water and the wind, but today is looking like a better day so I am expecting good reports. AND Don’t forget to also sign up for the Jingles In-Store Fluke tournament – It runs all fluke season long with prizes up to fourth place!
We had a great JINGLES KIDS CLINIC class yesterday and we have two full classes tomorrow. Don’t wait to register – classes are filling up! Kids Clinic is every Monday and Wednesday. See our home page for details. CALL THE STORE TO REGISTER!!
