It was a bit hazy this morning up at the beach this morning but it’s going to be another beautiful day in Beach Haven! Winds this morning are coming from the SSW at about 12mph but winds are going to pick up as the day gets on. The surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. The LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 74°. The air temp is currently 77° and heading to 82°.
The bay has a little chop and is 64°.
Low tide is at 3:45AM and 3:40PM. High tide is at 9:30AM and 9:44PM.
Surf has fluke! Dave Daub wasn’t out a half hour yesterday morning before catching this 3.3# and 19 7/8″ fluke on gulp! Then… one of those straggler stripers hit on Jack’s white bucktail he was using for fluke and ended up with the beautiful 29″ and 11.83# striped bass!! Today is the last day for the Spring Derby so there maybe a couple more that you can bring in for the $$!! And this morning we had another weigh-in keeper off the surf. @richtfishing caught this 4.32# and 22″. There are some nice fluke out there – get on it! Jingles In-Store Fluke tournament runs all fluke season long so come in and sign up… prizes up to fourth place.
