It’s a beautiful, slightly hazy morning here in Beach Haven today! Winds are mild coming from the E at about 5mph. Currently, the surf is flat calm with 0-1 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. Sandy Hook buoy temp is 76°, LBI 5th Street Beach Haven sea temperature is 74° and The Atlantic City buoy temp is 75°. The air temp is currently 73° and heading to 79°.
The bay is calm and 75°.
Low tide is at 10:03AM and 11:10PM. High tide is at and 3:53AM 4:16PM.
In the surf, kingfish and fluke and hearing of a bluefish here and there. Alex caught this 17″ keeper on the beach yesterday. In the bay and the inlet you can pick up some keeper fluke and in the bay, plenty of blowfish. Out at the reefs you can get some fluke and you can still pick up (2) seabass per person for another week and a half. Gary Rowles had a nice keeper fluke yesterday – 3.94lbs, and 21.5″. That puts him in 4th place for the Jingles store tournament. The tournament goes all fluke season long and pays out to 4th place. Still time to enter and be in the money!
