There was another weigh-in yesterday for the LBI Surf Derby – 9 year old Hunter caught a 8.55lb striper in Brant Beach. Many reports of action on the beach with shorts, and few keepers that were released. Reports are with bunker and and clams. The bay has been quiet. Near shore has been hammering the stripers consistently. The Dorsch boys were successful with these two beauties just under the 38″ using a shad umbrella. And the Smilon family went out yesterday and caught too oversized fish so they went back out today and caught this 35″ keeper.
