It is a rainy, but mild, windy, morning in Beach Haven! But the temperature is going to drop as the day gets on. The wind is about 10mph coming out of the WSW. The surf is a little rough with 2-3 foot waves. Currently you will need 5-6 ounces to hold. The ocean temp is 54°. The air temp is 57° heading to 60°.
The bay is a little choppy and the temp is 52°.
Low tide was at 8:41AM and 9:10PM. High tide is at 2:31PM.
The blitz is happening! There were 4 weigh-ins yesterday for the Surf Derby and many other small and large bass caught throughout the day! With a just under the wire entry to Segment 2 – Steve Roderick caught this 37 7/8″ bass weighing in at 22.92lbs. He was in Holgate and caught it on bunker. Three others of varying sizes weighed-in as well. Then there were the shorts and the longs…. John Sullivan with this bass that had to go back. The Shapiro family was out there too – PJ got this 24″ short and Matt caught this 44″ long. All three between Beach Haven and Holgate and all on bunker. Segment 3 starts today – 3 weeks left to the tournament – Plenty of time to win some money!
