DAILY REPORT

It’s another beautiful and warm morning in Beach Haven! And once again, the wind right now is coming from the SW at about 5mph – so stop in and grab some Captain Ron’s insect repellent! Currently the surf is flat clam with 1 – 2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 66°. The air temp is currently 71° and heading to 85°!

The bay is calm and 72°.

Low tide is at 1:50AM and 1:43PM. High tide is at 7:40AM and 7:58PM.

The striper weigh-ins have slowed down and the fluke weigh-ins are picking up! Most of the striper pictures I am getting are oversized fish as the stripers are moving on up north. Madden is here with his 38″ striper and Luke with his 31.5″ striper – both caught in Beach Haven on bunker. And Rob does it again with this 35″ striper caught with the last of the stinky clams.

With the weather and the water warming we are starting to see more fluke. So first, while fishing for fluke…Mike Arbitell caught this black drum on Thursday in the bay on a fluke rig! Friday, Andrew Clark caught this 2.95# and 20.5″ fluke using gulp. Then yesterday, Dave Lampman weighed in the first entry for the Jingles In-store Fluke Tournament with this 4.45# and 24.5″ fluke. Entry into the store tournament is only $10 with prizes for the four heaviest fluke.

The Spring Derby and the Jingles In-Store tournaments have one week left with both ending on Sunday, June 21st. Both offer prizes on the two heaviest striped bass and the heaviest bluefish. You can still get in the fun – you never know – there are still striper out there and the winning fish may be hungry!

TODAY WE HAVE MINNOWS and limited amount of FRESH BUNKER!

Don’t forget your bait bucket – If you do not have one, we have Jingles Bait Buckets for just $3! AND Send us your pictures and fishing reports to Instagram, FaceBook or jinglesbait@comcast.net.
