It’s a beautiful, sunny and hot morning here in Beach Haven and getting hotter once again today! The wind is coming from the W at about 8mph. The surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need 3-4 oz to hold. The ocean temp is 77°. The temp is currently 79° and heading to 87°.
The bay is calm and 75°.
Low tide is at 8:01AM and 8:50PM. High tide is at 1:45AM and 2:21PM.
We had a fluke weigh-in yesterday – and a nice one at that! Owen Pudlo was out on the Miss Barnegat Light yesterday and pulled in this 5.22lb, 24.5″ fluke! He was using squid and a minnow. Owen takes over first place in the store Fluke Tournament. FishHawk Charters has been out most mornings and catching tons of fluke – mostly short but they are coming back with a couple keepers too – yesterday bringing home an 18″ . In the surf, the kingfish continue as well as fluke. Out at the reefs there are some good size sea bass.
Today we have minnows and bloodworms.
