There were two striped bass derby weigh-ins yesterday – here 7 year old PJ Shapiro got on the board again with an 8.9lb, 30 7/8″ bass. PJ got his in Holgate on surf clam. In other striper news… on Sunday Barry Stockwell caught a 30″, and yesterday George Scocchi caught a nice 39.5″ striper using clams and Matt Shapiro caught this very long bass! Also in the surf, anglers are starting to catch some kingfish, and reports of a bluefish here and there. In the bay there are fluke and weakfish.

Today we have fresh bunker, surf clam, fresh shucked clams and bloodworms.
